Established in 1972, as Buckley & Barry fitted furniture, by young friends Pat Buckley and John Barry, two passionate and highly skilled cabinet makers from Cork. United by enthusiasm and a shared commitment to excellence, a journey to redefine bespoke wardrobes was embarked upon.
Recognized for their talent, work ethic, and attention to detail, Buckley & Barry soon became the trusted hands behind the interiors of Cork's most esteemed developments, including Mount Oval Village, the Old Quarter Ballincollig, and the prestigious Elysion. As the decades unfolded, the torch passed to the next generation, with Pat's sons, Don and David, serving apprenticeships, mastering their crafts and evolving the company into a true family business.
In the new millennium, with John's retirement, the brothers elevated the company by venturing into high-end bespoke kitchens and interiors, earning acclaim, including a feature on RTE's Home of the Year show.
Through economic challenges, the family's commitment to quality endured, and with innovative designs, meticulously crafted in their workshop in Glanmire the business not just weathered the storm of the downturn but emerged from it as one of the pre-eminent fitted furniture companies in Cork.
In 2024, embracing innovation and modern design, Buckley & Barry transformed into Buckley Bespoke.
